Touching Base Inc

Training Coordinator – volunteer position

Touching Base is recruiting an organised, motivated Australian-based sex worker to volunteer for our role of Training Coordinator.

This key peer role is central to developing, updating, coordinating, and co-delivering Touching Base training presentations and workshops. These include our Professional Development & Awareness Training (PDAT) and Service Provider Awareness Training (SPAT) online workshops.

This is primarily a volunteer role, but we do pay our Training presenters a fee of $60 an hour when they are delivering Touching Base workshops.

The role requires a commitment of approximately 1-3 hours per week.

This depends on if we have a workshop coming up or not; with another 3 hours a week (paid) required on training weeks.

Our online workshops are generally delivered on a workday during the afternoon (Australian Eastern Standard Time).

There is the potential for interstate travel if chosen to go to the Scarlet Alliance National Forum to represent Touching Base. We sometimes also receive requests to deliver “in-person” PDAT and/or SPAT workshops within Australia.

In these situations costs for flights, taxis and accommodation are covered, along with payment/reimbursement if you purchase food/beverages (up to the relevant ATO per diem rates).
